Standards and guidelines

Visual Orange applies the standards and guidelines developed by the 'World Wide Web Consortium' to all applications that we develop and that leave our office. Quality assurance is applied throughout the different phases of web design and development. This is not applicable for open source applications nor for applications that are purchased from a third party by the client.

Internet etiquette

Confirmations screens when forms are successfully submitted are just one example of many that follow the internet etiquette. Error 404

The page not found message can be generated by the web server when users enter the URL of a page manually and misspelled into the address bar of the browser.
It should however never happen caused by coding errors. Links that do not work or images that cannot be retrieved by the browser do not contribute to a professional internet presence. It is therefore very important to make sure by proper testing that all this works perfectly before a web site is launched. We make use of software to control links and the proper paths to the directories of all elements of a page.
